Detailed TRUE Stretched Resolution Tutorial for Valorant (Laptop + PC | Intel/NVIDIA/AMD)

This tutorial will show you how to get TRUE stretched resolution in Valorant on laptops and PCs using CRU (Custom Resolution Utility).

This method works for most GPUs including NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel integrated graphics.

The stretch is applied at the display level, not just visually inside Valorant, so models and HUD elements appear genuinely stretched.

This method is currently widely used and does not modify Valorant files.

STEP 1 - search up "Device Manager" on your windows search

go into monitors, right click all shown monitors and click "disable device" now this will temporarily restrict u from changing your monitor brightness, ill tell u a one step fix for that at the end

STEP 2 - open valorant, go into video settings, open general tab, at the first setting, change it to "windowed fullscreen" from "fullscreen" and set the "fill" resolution method, now apply and close valorant

DO NOT WORRY WE WILL NOT USE IT ON WINDOWED MODE

IF U HAVE NVIDIA GPU, USING THE NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL CREATE A CUSTOM RESOLUTION OF 1600x1080 AND SKIP TO STEP 6

IF NOT - STEP 3 - search up "CRU custom resolution utility" on your browser and download it using the first .zip link , extract the file and run the "CRU.exe" application

STEP 4 - at the top of cru, youll see "detailed resolutions" double click on the one corresponding to your refresh rate, click on copy (top right)

now go back to the main CRU app, add the bottom youll see "Extension Blocks" click on add, after this youll see detailed resolution at the top, click on add under it and click on paste (top right) and do the following changes :

Horizontal Active Pixels → 1600
Vertical Active Lines → 1080

Do NOT change the refresh rate values.

STEP 5 - open the extracted cru folder, double click on "restart64.exe" and run it, this will refresh your GPU , after that just close the window

STEP 6 - go into windows settings and change your display resolution to the newly added "1600x1080"

U HAVE NOW APPLIED STRETCH RES FOR PCS AND SOME LAPTOPS, RUN VALORANT AND TEST

IF YOUR LAPTOP IS SHOWING BLACK BARS IN VALORANT:

STEP 1 - open registory editor, paste this in the file area "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Configuration"

press enter , youll now see a "configuration" folder, click on the arrow to show the subfolders

follow this step carefully for each and every subfolder under "configuration", no of folders can be from 4 to 10+

press the arrow on the subfolder. press the arrow on the "00" folder, press the arrow on the "00" subfolder

double click on "Scaling" (see on the right side of the screen now)

change the value to "3"

(Editing the Windows Registry incorrectly can cause display problems. Follow the steps carefully and only modify the "Scaling" value mentioned in this tutorial.)

DO THIS FOR EVERY SUBFOLDER OF "CONFIGURATION"

restart your laptop and run valorant, enjoy true stretch res

HOW TO CHANGE BRIGHTNESS/DISABLE TRUE STRETCH RES

to turn true stretch res off change resolution to your default one (windows settings) go to device manager and enable your monitor

now u can change brightness, to turn stretch res on again - disable monitor from device manager and just select your resolution in windows display settigns

enjoy:)
