Just getting into reading, short book recommendations?
Hey guys! I really want to get into reading, but I keep hitting a wall with it. The main issue is that I barely retain anything I read unless I’m actively annotating or writing stuff down as I go. If I'm just reading normally, I’ll retain a lot of it but tend to loose bits and pieces the more I read.
Also longer books tend to make me loose interest, like when they’re over 200 pages. So, shorter books are definitely ideal for me.
I am still very new to reading, so I’d love to get some good recommendations for quick, engaging reads! or even some advice on how to actually retain what I read more efficiently.
I want to read non fiction books that are thought provoking, and would teach me stuff that would give me perspective. I don’t know what genre that would be, I’m still so new to all of this so please don’t be too harsh.
Thank you for your time! :)
