From no armor to Max leveled armor + Lv. 3 Defense elixir.

Thought this was interesting enough because WOW, going from 26 hearts and a quarter to just a quarter is pretty crazy!

From no armor -> no armor with the elixir -> just armor -> armor & elixir.

For the record, the armor I'm wearing is the Champion's Leathers, diamond circlet and soldier's Greaves for a max defense of 88.

The tough elixir I used was 3 fortified pumpkins, one rugged rhino beetle and one monster part.

No Links were hurt during this experiment. 😅

Am I doing something wrong or is the combat kinda insanely difficult and punishing in this game? (Enemy damage & HP wise)

Background: I just completed the Gerudo desert lightning temple, I've completed all 4 of the regional phenomena temples now. 19 hearts, almost 3 full stamina wheels. Desert Voe set upgraded to level 2, except the chest piece which is level 3.

I go into nearby ruins, and just a regular enemy group lead by a Silver Lizalfos is 10 times harder than any of the story bosses I've fought so far. Even a Silver Lizalfos by itself is faster, stronger, tankier, and more agile than the actual "boss" monsters with big healthbars. I basically have to utilize hit and run tactics with my spirits, actual melee combat feels too punishing because one mistake and the Lizalfos deals like 15 hearts worth of damage with a single hit. Especially if I don't have a shield (which you can't use with 2h weapons, which I seem to mostly get from drops...) it feels far too dangerous to attempt to hit it with melee, except it's hard to shoot it with a bow either, because it charges towards you fast in a zig-zag pattern and pretty much insta-kills me if it connects.

Feels like I have to spend half of my time cooking food and eating, since every hit deals at least 8 hearts worth of damage. I am not saying the game is TOO difficult, I am not stuck unable to proceed, it just feels absurd to me how difficult the regular open world enemies are. Boss fights have been quite easy though.

Where did you find your last Korok?

I am stuck at 999. And by-joe, I’ve gone over every nook and cranny with a fine-toothed zonaite comb on Zelda Dungeon about 999 times. I swear I had a dream last night that I found a weeping Korok in my refrigerator. After he implored me to return him to his perch on Kilimanjaro, I awoke to my reality despondent. Is this side-adventure a futile crusade? Understated: I’m getting frustrated.

Have I missed some that are double-stacked? Are they lost in a prominent location? Or an inconspicuous one?

(Yes, I know that I can mark complete on the ZD map and the icon will go away. Somehow maybe I’ve goofed and deleted the wrong one every time?)

Or is the Zelda Dungeon incomplete? Or are the game programmers complete masochists?

Please help. Where did you find your last one?

EDIT: I FOUND IT! With the help of u/AndrewTheTerrible, it was a jar, double-stacked indeed, beneath a rock perch southwest of Birida Lookout

Do I replay BOTW or do TOTK first?

I recently found my old switch and have been thinking about replaying BOTW. Last time I played it was all the way back in 2019. The only issue is I never properly finished TOTK and I do also want to eventually beat that too.

One of my main reasons for coming back to this series was the exploration, so would replaying an already known game and potentially burning out for TOTK be a bad idea?

Damn, he actually looks like Ganondorf !

I've never readed or watched a theory video about it. What do you think?

Édit : I never thought i would create a debate that way 😅

I dont really care about the origins of this hero. I obviously assume he's an old chosen one of the elder goddess etc.

I was chillin' after my third playtrough, just leveled up this armor at max, beaming my master sword, and trying to get a cool selfie... No big deal. Moving the camera, i suddenly had this vision. I saw the shape of the hair, of course, then the angry eyes, the third eye jewel, the long nose, and the skin ( fur? ) color.

I'm not sayin' anything but similarities in look.

Some say he was not a zonai because Rauru and Mineru haven't a tail. We just don't know! I mean, Mineru and his brother are quiet different in look! To me, Rauru looks like a sheep/fox/human mix, Mineru reminds me a cat/bat/human mix. I can't say if Rauru has a tail or not, because of his very long hair hiding his back and legs...

I'd like to add something : remember the Ganondorf's ancestor in Skyward game ! He wasn't a bad guy in the story after all. And looks less alike Ganon than the ancestral hero, don't you think ?

Soooo my last words are : He just looks like Ganondorf, and that's fun 😁

Where did the tears/memory hieroglyphs come from during the upheaval?

There are many theories onto why all of the guardians or remnants from breath of the wild are missing in TOTK, same for the inverse like the sky islands and the depths. But I can’t really think of a reason why those nazca line like glyphs just appeared in this game. My theory is that current time archaeologists just painted them according to the room in the forgotten temple (shown above) which would’ve been discovered during the transition.

Play or wait for S2?

I finished BOTW about six months ago. I own a switch OLED and plan to get a S2 eventually, maybe in a year or two.

I’m excited to play TOTK. My question is whether the enhancements on S2 are worth effectively differing my play through of TOTK, or should I just play on the OLED. Thanks for your thoughts :)

I think I broke the game - LightCast Island

So I’m trying to access the Lightcast Island shrine.

I’ve already drained the water, and did the mirror puzzle, but nothing is happening.

I didn’t realize that I had to interact with a dragon ring before hand to activate a riddle and what not, but now I’m at the dragon ring and I can’t interact with it at all..

Am I’m still missing something?

First play-through, making comics as I go Pt. 2

Y'all were very kind in censoring spoilers with my last post, please continue to do that ;)

This whole Rito village quest set the bar SO HIGH and made my first impression of TOTK absolutely amazing. Revali was my favorite Champion from BotW, so naturally Tulin has to be my favorite Sage xD I love how it's implied (especially if you did this in botw, as I did) that Link used to visit Tulin when he was younger to show him how to use a bow, and thus; they have a really cool friendship now.

Hope y'all don't mind the time gaps between comics. Even though I'd love to make more in-between, I have to really prioritize as these take a long time to make ;)

See ya around for Pt. 3! It won't be emotional damage this time I promise.
