Changeable weather

They truly weren’t kidding when they said to pack for all 4 seasons in May.

Back when I booked the tickets, I thought May would be warmer. I packed light clothes, although bought along a warm coat and heat tech inners just in case.

First day I land in Manchester, people are walking around in t shirts. I feel sweltering in my long sleeve. I sigh and regret overpacking.

Day 6, I am at Alton Towers and it’s freezing cold. I thank all the gods that are listening that I packed my coat and the heat tech.

Pretty happily surprised by the quality of ALL the rides

Visited Alton Towers just today, and was really surprised by the quality of rides. In the parks I went to in the past, there is usually two or three headliner rides, and then all the rest are space fillers that make an experienced coaster fan look at their watch and wonder when they can get off. I am ticking off the entire list and there is a great feature in ALL the rides that made me happy to queue up for it!

Favourite besides Nemesis and Smiler is actually Rita and Hex. Rita really packs a speed punch, and I definitely don’t expect the finale of Hex.
