Saw CC twice, at the Adelaide and Perth Parklife festivals. Had such chaotic energy, Alice crowdsurfed a bit while performing, they were gigs i won't ever forget.
This was the only photo I took, super appreciative I got to see them live before they broke up
Just went to the Amsterdam gig, was really incredible. Have been a superfan for years and had such enormous expectations, and they were exceeded.
I was really blown away with the live versions of certain songs and the way the light show complemented that. Elephant, Apocalypse Dreams, Let it Happen - OMFG. There was so much nuance and creativity in how they were sung.
One takeaway though, was how much better Deadbeat songs sound live than on the album. The doof doof really shone hard.. I thought I'd be saving Deadbeat songs for a toilet break (hey happens to the best of us.. even Kevin ;) ) but struggled to pull myself away for any of them.
End of Summer, Ethereal Connection. Hell I even found myself singing along to draktiktokula. Piece of Heaven was begging for some phone flash on, hands waving action which didn't kick off but could have. On the album I found the songs a bit sparse, and less layered than prior albums, however live the power of the soundsystem really showed me how these songs were meant to be heard.
