TIL The Judgment Day has officially existed for about as long as the Confederacy did.

I randomly looked it up and realized the timelines are almost identical.

The Confederacy existed from February 1861 until May 1865, which is about 4 years and 3 months.
The Judgment Day debuted at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022, and as of now they’ve also been around for roughly 4 years and 3 months.

It’s just funny to think that in the amount of time the Confederacy formed, fought an entire civil war, and collapsed, we’ve had Edge create Judgment Day, get kicked out of Judgment Day, Damian Priest become world champion, Rhea Ripley become arguably the biggest star in the company, Dominik Mysterio go from getting booed out of buildings to one of the most entertaining heels in wrestling, Liv Morgan join, and about a hundred betrayals.

Completely useless fact, but it really put into perspective how long this faction has been around.
Edit: I actually posted this before, but it got removed because it didn’t meet the sub’s minimum character requirement. Reposting with a little more context because I still thought it was a fun bit of trivia.

[META] Anyone interested in doing match threads for Richmond games?

I had a dumb idea while rewatching the show.

What if we did live game threads for the Richmond matches as they happen in the series and just collectively pretended they were real games happening live?

Like everybody reacting in real time:

“Why is Jamie trying that?”

“Roy Kent is about to get sent off.”

“Ted has to make a substitution here.”

“I have defended this team all season and I’m done.”

I know we all already know the results. That’s kind of the joke. We’d basically be larping as AFC Richmond supporters.

Could do post-game threads too where people overreact to everything, blame the manager, argue about lineups, call players frauds after one bad performance, the full sports fan experience.

This might be incredibly stupid, but it also feels like it could be fun if enough people committed to the bit
