[Windows][late 90ies/early 00s] Point 'n' Click Adventure kids game where the protagonist's house crashes into a cave
Platform(s): Windows. I played it on my cousin's Windows ME PC sometime in the mid-late 00s (hand-me-down machine from his dad).
Genre: 2D Point 'n' Click Adventure, fixed camera (i.e. the camera only changed when moving to the screen edges)
Estimated year of release: Late 90ies - early 2000s. Probably of German origin.
Graphics/art style: Childish cartoony, almost looked like a drawing
Notable characters:
The game centred around an MC named Tim/Tom (or similar). I'm pretty sure he had voice lines in German.
His house crashed through the ground into a cave and he wanted to escape the cave. The walls of the house were brightly colored and the wall to the right had a hole where the MC could start exploring the cave.
In one part of the cave, there was a sleeping bear(?). I don't think you could wake it up, but I was always scared I'd wake him.
Notable gameplay mechanics:
- Simple puzzles, designed for children
- Small assortment of items to pick up, but I don't think it had a large inventory system
- I think in one part of the cave you had to throw a rock to continue
- Very brief game, if you knew the solution of the puzzles, you could complete it in around 15 minutes.
Other details:.
I distinctly remember the ending: The camera focused back on the inside of his house and the MC broke through the wall on the right, ending up where he started and telling the player the game was over.
The game's name was something like "Tim/Toms Adventure/Abenteuer". Generic name, so I haven't been able to find this
Due to the short play time I also assume that the game was a promotional item of some sort, but I do not remember a company or product being advertised in-game.
Probably all I've got, I'll hope for the best :)
