How much does a Visa Refusal affect the next application?

I have heard of people getting their visas even after multiple refusals and on the flip side, few people have been refused 3-4 time consecutively..

What is the risk factor of a refusal? Does not mentioning a refusal hurt your chances of approval further?

Chances for a Visitor Visa?

I feel like the answer is clear but, here's my profile -

  • 22M, Visiting 1st Cousin (Who recently got his PR), and for tourism
  • Officially employed since 2.5 years
  • Previous Travels : Ireland, USA, UAE, Europe (3 Countries) Singapore, Malaysia
  • Previous Rejections : 1 USA (May 2026). 1 Sweden (2024, applied via my university)
  • Funds - Around $6-7K CAD in my savings account

Will provide clear itinerary and round trip flight tickets

What is the general experience like for visitor visas for young travellers? I really dont want any more rejections unnecessarily....

Germany Tourist Visa Refused [Reason 10]... Next Steps?

I made a post yesterday on how my passport was dispatched already in a day ; unfortunately the visa was refused...(22M, Single)

Profile / Docs Provided :

  • Convert Letter Job NOC, Contract, Payslips
  • Previous Travel History : 1 Schengen, Ireland, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, UAE
  • Previous Rejection : 1 Sweden : Applied from my university (4 people, for a uni visit)
  • Sponsorship from parents and their documents (including sponsor letter)
  • Confirmed, Round trip flight tickets
  • Confirmed Hotel Bookings
  • Day wise itinerary, inter country Eurail pass

My entire reason for travel was tourism and frankly its disappointing to see the rejection reason..How should I navigate about this?

I'm tempted to re-apply but I'm not sure how that'll go..Maybe with a group or with parents

Change of Visa Category in VFS Appointment Form

Hello

My appointment is in a few days [India] . Initially, I had put Visa Category as 'Visit (Family and Friends)' in my VFS appointment form

However due to change in my plans, now I'm applying with confirmed hotel bookings, for Tourism only.

Is this an issue? Can I change the category to tourism?

Mention Previous Refusal?

Hello, I'm (22M) applying for a German Schengen visa soon (Tourism)

Context : In Dec 2023, my university applied for a Sweden Schengen visa for a university visit / exchange program. It was including me 3 students, and 1 faculty. Our visas were rejected

Since then, (2.5 years) I've travelled a few times - USA, UAE and most recently Ireland (on a business visa). I do have a previous Schengen visa (Italy), as I travelled in 2019..

I've been employed since the last 2.5 years and I'm providing docs from my company, along with all the necessary bookings and even a sponsorship from parents

Do I need to explicitly mention the Sweden refusal in my cover letter?

Best and Cheapest ways to travel inter-country by Train?

Hello,

Travel Route : Munich --- Prague --- Vienna --- Budapest --- Munich (For my return flight, back to India)

I wanted to know what are the best and cheapest ways to get around these cities. For Germany and Austria. I've checked DB and OBB so far, but would love some other suggestions.

Ideally looking for refundable options, incase of last minute changes

Sponsorship Letter even if applicant is Employed

Hello, I'm (22M) applying for a German Schengen visa soon (For Tourism)

I'll be providing a parental sponsorship for the trip and all other required the documents :

  • Birth Certificate
  • Parent's Passport
  • Parent's ITR's, Bank Statements
  • A signed sponsorship letter

My question is ; I'm employed for 2.5 years and I'm providing all the details and docs (NOC, Contract etc ). Monthly income is about €300

I currently have €3.5k - €4k in my savings account (Accumulated over time, not sudden deposits)

Could showing a parental sponsorship be risky / appear inconsistent if the applicant is employed?

Is there any storage facility at the Mumbai OFC to store phones and wallets? (maybe even an airpods case)

I want to make sure I don't accidentally enter with these items and they're safe in a locker

Hello

I hope this post doesn't sound messy, but I'm planning a 12 Day Europe trip with my current planned route being -

Barcelona ---- Munich ---- Prague ---- Vienna ---- Budapest

I'm a 22M, a bit confused and wanting to know a few things before I book / lock -

For a first solo trip, is this a feasible route?

I had a couple of other places in mind [Zurich and Amsterdam] but I'm not sure how would they fit here / how are they for going solo

I'm from a film background so, big into photography (as a hobby) ; would love nature but some town / city side too

I really want to make sure I plan this and make the most of it.. maybe even trying the local cuisines and stuff...

Would love to know about this and in general if there's any specific advise for a solo traveller to Europe

Thanks!

I have an OFC appointment soon, and due to some situation I may have to miss the appointment. Now based on new rules in 2026 what amount would I have to pay for reapplying?

Previously, I have paid 185 USD (~ ₹ 17.5k )
