Look, I’m a Hooman

The young capybaras were determined to eat all the lettuce! This one did its best impersonation of a human.

Recommendations for Myrtle Beach

For those that have stayed at a Hilton in Myrtle Beach, what was your experience? Where do you recommend, and where do you suggest avoiding?

My wife, two kids, and I are planning a 5-night trip in mid-August using points. The Embassy Suites seems like a solid choice with breakfast, a small waterpark, beachfront, and a points redemption value of about 0.7CPP. Redemption value isn’t the top priority. Mainly looking at overall amenities and experience.

Will Not Wait for Food

This capybara was a foodie and wouldn’t put up with being teased or waiting for food. He plopped his front legs on our laps multiple times during our capybara encounter. I think he just wanted to make sure we took full advantage of our time while feeding him, so he got up close and personal.

I don’t recall his name but will ask my wife and add it if she remembers.

Feeding Capybaras Today

My family and I fed capybaras for a half hour today. It was at a sanctuary in Florida, and they have two adults and two younger capys that they’ve had since they were three weeks old. This one is Phyllis, one of the adults.
