Questions on sealing off chimney pipe

Had a wood stove that we didn't use and got rid of it. The chimney was the metal type that cut in through the wall and vented out of the roof (not a brick chimney).

We're looking at sealing it off and I want to know what the best way to go about it is for both inside and outside. Inside we would have to cut it back a bit - am I good to just shove some insulation in it, or should we silicone a cap of some sort on?

For outside, is there a cap I can purchase or would I have to fabricate something? Not sure on measurements for the outside as I haven't made the trip up to the roof yet.

Help me plan a Portland area vacation?

Looking to get away for a few days and we're considering Portland. We would like to have at least one beach day - what is the best beach to visit? Looking for sandy, not rocky, and bonus if it's in a town with some nightlife. Some interests are history, geology, bicycling, dive bars, DIY music (any good punk rock bars or clubs?) We'd also like to eat great seafood, and I would like to visit some breweries as well. Thinking of staying near the beach for one night and then in Portland proper for another.

Suggestions?

Question on employer 401k contributions

>Employees under 50: $24,500 personal limit; $72,000 combined employee and employer limit.

Trying to understand how this works - if the max an individual can contribute on their own is $24.5k, and an employer offers a dollar per dollar match, that's still only $49k. Are there employers out there who match over 100%?

Can't get all XM channels

I've got a 17 Impala, and pay for XM - I've noticed that in my car I won't be able to get higher channels, like 314. My wife also has XM in her car and is able to tune to this channel without issue. Is there something I can do?

I'm in town for a couple nights and see a few breweries not too far away, but I'm looking for a place that's really focused on making good beer, not doing the whole people mill thing with mediocre beer and food. I like dry stouts, porters, crisp pilsners, west coast style IPA - not looking for places who focus on NEIPA style stuff.

This probably sounds snobby, and...I guess it is! Any ideas?

I'm travelling for a conference soon and I'll be staying in Schaumburg. Won't have a car, so trying to see if there is anything good nearby that I can Uber to - I'm looking for a place to get a good Italian beef, a good hotdog, a good dive to suck down an old style and malort, and maybe a tavern pie. Any suggestions?

Also, I noticed there is a portillos there, but I'm not sure if there is a better spot nearby. I would prefer to visit the original portillos location rather than a satellite one.

Edit: if there's a punk or metal dive nearby, that would be a bonus
