I'd been dying to try sashiko, as I'm a mom who works full-time and can't sew and craft as much as I used to. I needed small projects that could easily be pulled out and put away and didn't need weeks to finish. Additionally, I'm tired of a few of my denim shorts that came with holes already in them.

This is technically my second attempt at sashiko. On my first, I used embroidery floss and while it looked fantastic, it didn't survive the wash in some places. (The thread started pulling apart and looking loose. Fortunately the patch is fine, so I will probably just pull out and redo the sashiko with the correct type of thread.)

So after research, I got ACTUAL sashiko thread. (Olympus from Snuggly Monkey was used here.) The patch is from a Tula Pink fat quarter and I did stabilize it with a bit of felt on the back.

Don't worry, he's wearing a business suit now!

This is on the new Tomodachi Life game.

You get little personality sliders that you adjust, and this was how they defined his personality based on those adjustments. Not wrong at all, in my opinion.
