Android 10 for the Kyocera KYF37
I tried porting Android 10 to an old Android 5 Kyocera keitai flip phone (the GRATINA KYF37), mostly for fun and so I could run modern apps on it. The result is a mostly working ROM, with microG support (so apps that expect Google services work) and Bad Apple on the outer screen.
What works / doesn't
- Works: Wi-Fi, calls and mobile data on my carrier (Spain), SIM PIN, camera photos, speaker, flashlight, SD card, notifications
- Not verified or not working: VoLTE/VoWiFi, GPS fix indoors, Bluetooth address, video recording, and the tiny tearing on the panel that I could not fix. Tested on one phone only, so treat it as experimental
I have uploaded it to the Github Repo.
kudos to Sonnet 5.5 for fixing most of the hardware realed stuff and creating the custom recovery for the phone.
