This stage was played at 2X Speed. For comparison, the fastest setting you can normally play a stage is at 1.5X speed. This is not a mod, but rather RAM manipulation done with Cheat Engine.
The maximum speed I can reasonably play this stage is ~1.9X speed. For comparison, the fastest setting you can normally play a stage is at 1.5X speed. This is not a mod, but rather RAM manipulation done with Cheat Engine.
I've been playing this game a lot and sharpening my skills on Hard difficulty/timing, and I've been thinking of a potential way a "versus" mode could work for the game (facing players online):
Both players would vote on a song to play, and it's a coinflip on which song wins. (You can choose a random song too, if you prefer).
Both players would then play the song on their end (so there isn't any latency) on normal difficulty, but they could choose a different difficulty (Unmissable through Hard) if they desired. Both players have to play on the same difficulty. If the player are on different difficulties prior to matchmaking, then it's defaulted to normal. (Think of it like a preference setting both players can choose before matchmaking.)
The winner would be the one who missed the least amount of times, or in the case of a tiebreaker, the player with the fewest "offset frames" on the results screen (see image attached). In the rare case the players tie in both cases, both players wouldn't gain nor lose any hypothetical ELO.
Doublespeed/Halfspeed settings are disabled by default, and both players would have to agree to enable the doublespeed/halfspeed setting in their preferences. If both players do not allow for this setting, then it's disabled.
All songs are enabled by default, with some exceptions like Weightlifter and Beans Hopper.
Boss levels would act the same as normal levels, in that you have the ranking at the end, and there would not a health bar for the intern.
