Why is 3:2 one of the two aspect ratios for Genesis emulation?
From my understanding the Genesis' aspect ratio is 10:7 or 8:7 (depending on if it's in h32 or h40 mode) output to 4:3, similar to the SNES 8:7 being the true aspect ratio output to 4:3. If this is the case then why is the non 4:3 option for the Genesis 3:2? Is it a case of both display modes being taken into account and 3:2 is the best middle ground, or is there some other reason that I haven't or didn't know to take into account? I am extremely curious.
