CC1 Canvas Over Purging
I am having a weird issue with the purging of filaments with the CC1 and Canvas installed.
When changing from Filament 2 to 1, it does the swap process and a quick purge then it continues printing.
When changing from Filament 1 to 2 however... It does the swapping then purges. Then purges again. Then purges again. Then purges again. Most of the time it starts printing now, but every so often it will continue to purge upwards of 8 times before it FINALLY starts the print.
I just tried re-slicing the model with a prime tower and had it flush into the infill, but the exact same behaviour of a purge loop happened making the tower an even bigger waste of filament.
I thought it might have been a tension issue as I noticed spool holder was much tighter than the rest and the feeder at the hotend would compress down. I loosened that as much as I could and even put the filament on external rollers that I use for super soft TPU that has no resistance to speak of, and it kept happening.
I've reached out to support to see if they can offer any insight, it is just so annoying to see my poop bucket filled with so many purges of the 1 filament. I am burning through it just on purges and if it will be doing that I won't be using the canvas, I would rather manually swap and save the filament.
Any one else run into this and come up with a solution?
EDIT: I played with some settings and it looks like the issue is coming from the Elegoo slicer itself. I moved the purge to into the prime tower and when printing with White and Black, the slicer is purging 3 times the volume of filament in just purges compared to the model and well more than 3 times as much as the black.
Changing the filament from white to a dark red cut the filament usage dramatically
I have been using Orca but switched to Elegoos now that I have the Canvas. Is this a setting that I can change anywhere to just a fixed purge operation? I did a print a while back with manual tool changes and never found I needed to purge more than once for any filament. And I was going from red to white to blue to copper to transparent yellow, never needed to do anymore than the 1 load purge.
I want to disable the prime tower and only do the loading purge and nothing else. Where can I do this?
