Constant spaced out/brain fog/drugged feeling

Hi everyone, any thoughts on what additional testing to perform where the primary symptom is a constant zoned out/drugged feeling in the brain (alongside cognitive issues)? There is no change or pattern and it came on suddenly after food poisoning.

We've done all sorts of testing from GI scopes, stool samples, parasites, dysbiosis, SIBO, organic acids, brain MRIs/CTs, blood work, etc, and nothing of significance has come up...

I will readily compensate anyone that can find something that betters these symptoms.

Sensitive gut/brain connection

This isn't strictly microbiome related, but I figure this is the right group of people to ask!

My GI doc had me trial some motility medication a few months back to try and keep my SIBO at bay. It worked great for motility, but I had to stop as it made my GI system hyper sensitive and reactive. I was reacting to all foods with autonomic symptoms, reflux, gas, etc.

I've been on a relatively plain diet for about a month now but still have a really twitchy connection between the gut and brain. For example, if I try and introduce more protein my brain will feel all sorts of awful (fog, headache, negative emotions) and I'll get autonomic symptoms a few hours later, or even first thing the next morning (sweating, feeling hot/cold, faster heart beat), and the same thing will happen randomly when my gut is empty and it starts gurgling.

It does seem to be gradually calming down, but it's taking a long time, and I'm still struggling to expand my diet with the neuro symptoms the gut is causing.

Does anyone have any advice that could help?

Brain fog and dopamine?

With more data appearing on dopamine issues with long covid brains, are people experimenting with dopamine medications? Is this the answer to brain fog and cognitive issues?

Low Dose Abilify - constant or ad-hoc?

Hey folks - how is everyone using LDA? I've seen people using it for special events only, others that start and stop every few months, and some that have been using it for years.

Do you need to taper off of it, or can you just stop it and take it up again later?

Also, what happens if it stops working, do symptoms just come back?

Brain fog: constant or fluctuating?

It seems most people have brain fog that fluctuates or only comes on with eating. Does anyone have/had constant (always present) brain fog from SIBO?

Organic Acids Test - B6

Hey all, what’s the likely cause of low Pyridoxic Acid on successive OATs? I supplemented b6 inbetween tests and PA actually went even further down on the next OAT 🤷‍♂️
