Impossible to get hold of anyone to arrange paid early check-in?

I’m staying at a Premier Inn in London next week and I have been trying for about a week and a half to arrange an early check-in with absolutely no luck.

I booked through Expedia because I had points to use, so I didn’t have the option to add Premier Inn’s early check-in when I made the reservation.

My flight from Canada lands around 8 a.m., so I’m more than happy to PAY for early check-in. I’m not expecting the hotel to magically have my room ready for free. The problem is I cannot figure out how to actually book/pay for it.
So far I have:
• emailed the hotel and received no response
• called several times without getting through
• finally reached someone, who told me Expedia provides the wrong hotel contact information and gave me another number to call
• called that number, only to be sent back to an automated system
• had the automated system tell me that paid early check-in is available, without actually giving me any way to purchase it
• tried Premier Inn’s WhatsApp, which directs pre-stay questions to their website live chat, while also saying they’re currently unable to accept new chats 🙃

I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever had this much trouble trying to get hold of someone at a hotel before.

At this point I’m basically shouting “YES, I WILL GIVE YOU MONEY” into the void.

Has anyone booked early check-in at a Premier Inn when the original reservation was made through Expedia or another third party? Is there some way to add it online after booking, or do I genuinely just have to show up and hope they can accommodate it?

I’m also fine with leaving our luggage there if the room isn’t ready, but after an overnight flight I’d really love to lock in early check-in if possible.

First-time landlord -what do you wish you knew when you started?

Hi all! I’ll be moving in with my partner in the coming months and, since they have a bigger place, I’m planning to rent out my condo.

I do have a realtor helping me with the initial process — listing it with professional photos, screening applications, preparing the lease, etc. — but I’d love to hear from people who have actually been landlords for a while.

I’m mostly looking for general advice:
- What do you wish you knew before becoming a landlord?
- What did you learn the hard way?
- Anything you’d recommend doing from day one that made your life easier later?

For context, it’s a 1 bed + den condo downtown in a larger Ontario city, with parking, and the building is mostly renters. It’ll be my only rental property and my first time being a landlord, if any of that makes a difference!

Basically: if you could go back and give first-time-landlord-you a cheat sheet, what would be on it?

Thanks in advance !!

Looking for bridal designer & boutique recommendations

I’m really early in my dress search and honestly know next to nothing about bridal designers or which boutiques carry which brands.

I’ve attached a few inspiration photos of what I’m drawn to. My budget for the dress is up to $5,000 CAD (ideally less), and I’m hoping to shop in the Ottawa, Montreal, Kingston, Toronto (or surrounding) areas.

Based on these photos, are there particular designers I should be looking at? And are there any bridal boutiques you’d recommend that carry this style or this vibe?

I’d love recommendations for both Canadian designers and international designers available in Canada. I’m trying to build a shortlist before I start booking appointments!
