As an outspoken Nioh 3 glazer I have to admit: The lack of new content in the DLC is Dire

I can begrudgingly live with just 1 new Guardian Spirit, Reused enemies from the base game, reused bosses…

But no new Martial Arts for existing weapons? I have been living 6 months with the anemic Ninja Sword move set , I just can’t do another 6 months for a chance they add a skill or two…

And then there is Armor… 90% of the new armor is Recolors from the base game, I just don’t understand, why? It’s easier to copy+paste the missing Armors from previous games than recolor existing ones? Where’s the Brawler set? Yoriki set? One Eyed Dragon? Sanada Crimson? etc.. Why bother have 4 palett swaps for Iga Jonin set when you can have Sarutobi set ? it’s bizarre…

Then there’s the cardinal sin: No new enemy placement in Enlightened Journey (NG++), granted I‘m still in Warring States period, but I’m still fighting the same Jailer Onis in the same places, no sight of DLC enemies…

I expected way, way more… You might think this sounds entitled, but it’s Team Ninja that set these expectations with past games DLCs… I really hope they take feedback to heart, but I get the feeling they don’t care too much (there’s a lot of bugs in the DLC that make me wonder how it got past QA)

If Nioh 3’s combat was an Engine, then “Powerful Shift” and “Style Shift Flow” skills are the engine oil

I wish they were part of the default kit and not something you acquire in the 2nd region.

For those unfamiliar with these, Powerful Shift allows you to restore a chunk of Ki when you perform a style shift near an enemy while you’re low on Ki, in practice this means you get infinite Ki as long as you switch back and forth between Samurai and Ninja, enabling you to to keep up the pressure on enemies. If you thought human bosses had insane Ki Regen in Nioh 3, then this skill is excellent for bullying them to oblivion…

Style Shift Flow is another must have skill, it allows you to cancel pretty much everything by pressing the Style Shift button, in practice this means you become bolder and keep up pressure on enemies knowing you can cancel out of moves with long wind downs or counter enemies burst attacks at will.

Both of these skills combined improves the combat flow by tenfold, before utilizing them I was mostly sticking to Samurai style, but now I’m switching back and forth between the two styles and making use of 4 weapons, dishing out insane pressure..it’s amazing

You can stun lock certain enemies by immediately attacking them after using a Soul Core that staggers

I haven’t tested it on all enemies, for some it doesn’t work, no idea if it’s a hidden mechanic or just a bug.

It also works on Yoki but I haven’t included it in the video because you can achieve the same result by wailing on him after breaking his horn

I'll start:

  • Add the option to disable Gale Sprint in the skill customization menu
  • Make the 'after images' when performing certain skills become more transparent, as of now they can obstruct the vision.
  • Improve visibility in general, with options to make Arts Proficiency visual effects less obstructive and garish
  • Add option to disable the 'chromatic aberration' effect on the edges of the screen
  • Enemy AI in battles with multiple opponents can be extremely passive, where only one enemy can be aggressive while the other waits around, this seems like a glitch because it doesn't happen all the time.. Enemies should be aggressive at least on NG+
  • Bosses tend to quickly enter the Dark Realm as soon as their Ki is depleted without leaving much room for the player to make use of the zero-ki state
  • Increase Ki Damage of certain moves from certain weapons, such as Kick from the Sword.
  • Skeletons parried with Water Shadow gain hyper armor when hit with the Water Shadow follow up strike
  • Increase the damage and viability of most Soul Core summons.

What do you have to add?
