For a long time, I struggled to find a home in DayZ. I wanted a HIGH QUALITY Vanilla+ community server that actually stuck to the original, SURVIVAL vision of official DayZ. But even more than that, I struggled to find an LGBTQIA+ FRIENDLY space where I could just exist, survive, and be myself. Too many times, I’ve been on servers where hate speech flies completely unchecked in global chats or Discord, while the admin team looks the other way.

I got tired of waiting for that perfect server to exist, so I helped BUILD IT.

Spectrum officially launched on May 29th, 2026. We are an LGBTQIA+ RAN server with a ZERO TOLERENCE policy for hate speech. Our active admin team is held to the absolute HIGHEST ETHICAL STANDARDS, and all admin logs are strictly monitored to ensure completely fair play. There is no paid priority queue, no fake server pop inflation, and absolutely no pay-to-win mechanics. Spectrum is truly built for everyone whether you are a brand new player learning the ropes or a DayZ veteran. Our community has a real voice here, and your feedback directly helps guide our future server updates.

This month we just launched a BRAND NEW update in which we've brought SUMMER to Chernarus, adjusting the games weather and temperature to fit the summer time, and hundreds of Vanilla clothing retextures and recolors via the Asmonds Vanilla Clothing Mod!

🌲 Server Philosophy & Mods

To maintain maximum server performance and preserve that authentic, gritty DayZ feeling, we keep our mod list incredibly minimal. Most of our backend mods are simply there to give admins the tools we need to keep hackers out.

• Admin Tools (For server stability and anti-cheat/admin monitoring)
• Ear-Plugs (A simple quality-of-life add-on for loud vehicles/rain)
• Pride_Collection (Adds a variety of LGBTQIA+ flags to decorate your base or cut up into wearable squad armbands, just like the one in my screenshot!)
• Asmonds Vanilla Clothing (Adds a variety of Vanilla Clothing retextures, and recolors.)

🛠️ Server Settings & Economy Balance

We’ve carefully adjusted the economy to lean into the survival element while keeping the sandbox engaging:

• Time Cycle: 3-hour days / 1-hour nights (First-person perspective only).
• Restarts: Automated every 4 hours (12, 4, 8 EST) for peak performance.
• Firearms: Spawn rates decreased by 50%
• Ammo & Magazines: Spawn rates decreased by 50% (Make every shot count!).
• SUMMER TIME: Summer time has hit Chernarus, the weather and temperature has been adjusted for more summer weather.
• Food & Drink: Spawn rates decreased by 30% (Hunting and foraging matter again).
• Group Limit: 3-man max group size (A dedicated Factions update is coming soon for larger groups!).
• Building: Build Anywhere is enabled! (We love creative builders, we just ask that you don't build flying/unrealistic bases please see Discord for full rules).
• Wipes: We plan to strictly wipe alongside official DayZ Wipes, allowing your squads to establish long-term bases and build deep server rivalries without fear of random mid-wipe resets.
