eye swelling and pain

hi, can someone tell me what may be wrong with my eye? it is very early morning for me, and ive been up for about 20 hours. I know that can cause harmless temporary eye issues, but please consider all my symptoms before writing it off as that! i want to know if there is potentially a larger issue here.

around 30 mins to an hour ago, my right eye started hurting. I looked in the mirror and my bottom eyelid was swollen (it's hard to tell in the picture but it is there. my eye doesnt normally look like that). it doesnt seem like I have any difference in vision, just a slight pain and a weird feeling. so I decided to elevate my head and go to sleep. within just a few minutes, I feel something go down from the swollen eye to my upper right cheek and the pain moves with it.

i know I have some dental issues that I haven't dealt with due to lack of insurance, so im paranoid about possible infections from that. i do also have acne in the surrounding area and sores on my head from skin picking if that would affect anything. i also already had a slight ptosis from birth in this eye. and i have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism (but not specifically Graves or any eye diseases).

ghe swelling has not gone down at all. does this sound like simple eye strain or an infection, or something else entirely?

is it safe to go to sleep right now, and should I go see a doctor in the morning?? how urgently and what kind of doctor (primary care provider or an eye doctor?)

thank you!!

what mascaras hold curl the best?

I have stubbornly straight, bleach blonde eyelashes, so as you could imagine, finding a good mascara has been hell for me. most mascaras that people swear by will weigh down my lashes too much, even if I do little hacks like heating my lash curler or holding the lashes up to dry. And that just doesnt look good on me.

The only one I've ever found to hold a curl is the Covergirl Clean Lashblast Hydrofuge Mascara. It's my holy grail and I strongly recommend it to anyone needing a good waterproof mascara. The only issue with it is that I am a little lazy and I don't want to scrub it off of my eyes every night.

So I was wondering, has anyone with similar lash struggles found a non-waterproof one that really works?

Any and all recommendations are appreciated!!!

Thanks
