Noticed it first with CIV 7 last night. Base game was fine but none of my installed DLC was detected even after multiple installs and reinstalls. Tried a few things I will detail below if anyone's found and conquered this problem.
Series X is as old as it's been released, got it day one through Amazon. Uses an expansion card and it's internal storage for games. Haven't played the Xbox in 2 weeks but before that it was perfectly fine if I remember rightly, played Starfield, hadn't touched CIV since December.
It would allow me to move data between storage devices, however when selecting manage. The above screen shows for all games it seems.
What I've tried:
Full game uninstall
Booted game without DLC, installed DLC and booted again
Full power off and cable out for 10+ mins to discharge
Factory reset with save my games
Factory reset and deleting all data
All of the above with the expansion card unplugged
Alternative MAC address and offline to try and get around Network problems
I'm going to leave it fully off for the night and see if it behaves but I think I can see what sort of an issue this is going to be and I don't think I'm ready for it. Not sure if j can afford to get something fixed or replaced at worst. I suppose the base game was always good 🤷🏻♂️
In my infinite wisdom i didn't check to see if a game like Starfield boots with the DLc loaded like Terrain armada etc to see if it's still just CIV that struggles regardless of what the manage installs screen says.
Any help is always appreciated, only big thing I haven't tried is an offline system update but I don't know enough to know if that would fix it, I have the equipment needed so no harm in trying but that's a tomorrow's job.
