Fleet advice?
Hey Citizen of the verse,
I'd like your opinions on some fleet melting I might do.
At the moment I have a Prospector, Vulture and Guardian with 10 year insurance, and my base game package of the Asgard + LTI + Nomad Jackal Paint + 1000 aUEC (tragic, I know.)
I did grab a Asgard to Galaxy CCU from a friend who had no plans to use it.
Prospector melt is $115
Vulture melt is $175
Guardian melt is $250
Asgard + Package is $285
Now I am thinking, if I melt the Prospector & Vulture down and buy a Golem & Salvation, I can use those in support to the Galaxy much later, though Galaxy modules often cost $70-90 on their own (per.) and based on the module cost of other modular ships, like the Apollo or Retaliator they often are 30%-50% of the hull value which I imagine for the galaxy may be 8-10 million per module, thus quite expensive not to have "for free" in your pledge insurance.
I do like the guardian, both aesthetically and in the utility it brings me, even over the MX due to agility and that bedlogging has been good to me.
After just melting the Prosp+Vult and buying Golem & Salvation I'd be at $170 store credit (and like, $12 assorted from somewhere I have never used.) Which may buy me 2 modules for the galaxy? Ideally I do not inject new money.
I do have friends I play with, however their pledges are typically much larger, so I am already a gunner in plenty of ships and structure the rest around what I can get away with at about crew size of primarily 1 with occational 2-3. I do want to cover all gameplay loops that feasibly exist since I like variety.
I do have the first concierge level if that may be relevant.
I plan to wait til IAE for anything as well.
Hope this wasn't too wordy, I've been mulling this over for ages. The Asgard is just a VERY good ship, but I do like the Galaxy conceptually. I also could wait for the galaxy to come out and judge based on thus.
