Tonight’s Macro Monday is the Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Justice League: Aquaman.

Still working trying a few new techniques to try and get more of the frame in focus. So these are just some quick shots.

JL Aquaman is a little light on the accessories but It feels like the focus was mainly put into the sculpt work. The armor pieces are highly detailed from the chest to his feet. The Mother Box is very unique, very alien tech.
Mamoa’s likeness is there as well. This was fun to shoot and one I need to revisit….

So many details, so little time! So…….Z👀M IN!!!!

⚔️ The Revenger ⚔️

One of my favorite MCU movies is Thor: Ragnarok! It was funny, fun, and full of great visuals and performances. I actually watched it a few weeks ago and decided to break out “Sparkles” for a macro session. So today’s Macro Monday is the Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Thor: Ragnarok.

I am trying a few new techniques to try and get more of the frame in focus. Macro shots typically lock in on a specific section and blur everything else out. But, there are a couple of shots where 90% of the subject is in focus.

So take some time and zoom in on the sections of the armor, skin, and boot straps. You’ll see texture and a lot of the details you miss just casually looking at figures at first glance.

So many details, so little time! So…….Z👀M IN!!!

• Mezco Macro Mondays: 134 •

This week’s MMM is another blast from the past. The @mezcotoyz One:12 Collective Star Trek: Mr. Spock!

The phaser, communicator, and tricorder, are nice nods to the show. But, the head sculpts are the highlight of the offering. I have always been a fan of the early sculpt work in the line. The Star Trek line was released in 2016 and they were able to nail the likeness of Leonard Nimoy. To the point I feel they still hold up today.

Just like the show, the Star Trek line was ahead of its time. A few solid offerings, with a few projected offerings on the horizon, the line suddenly faded away. Whether the line wasn’t as successful because it was too early or because the Mezco fan base wasn’t as established….yet….. it’s a line I think would do well now. Especially with how far the body and soft good materials have come.

So many details, so little time….
