Is Sandro missing Monke that much that #5 is a copy-paste of him instead of that cool design from the drafts

Kengan Association companies and their IRL counterparts comparison - Day 3: Nentendo

Disclaimer: I do not certify to be right about all the companies' references, some are clearly nearly confirmed, but I will speculate about possible references too. I base my conclusions on the company's name, the CEO's name, its field, its year of creation, some elements of its history, and finally its logo represented in the anime since Sandro greatly participated in it. The companies in Kengan are a very interesting subject in my opinion, and it fascinated me for some time to find the references; I hope this will interest people more in it. Feel free to share your own opinion and let me know if you think I've missed a reference.

3: Nentendo (Kengan) / Nintendo (Real life)

- Yeah you could have figured this one yourself right? The most obvious one: names nearly identical, logos too (even the old Nintendo logo who matches the color) and of course their domain that is video games. Haru even referenced Bowser from Super Mario Bros saying at chapter 47 of Kengan Ashura: "Damn you, turtle monster...".

Kengan Association companies and their IRL counterparts comparison - Day 2: Nishihonji Security Services

Disclaimer: I do not certify to be right about all the companies' references, some are clearly nearly confirmed, but I will speculate about possible references too. 2: Nishihonji Security Services (Kengan) / Secom (Real life)

- Onto the next one, Secom is a Japanese security company that also extends to insurance and natural disaster prevention like NSS. These two were also created the same year, and Secom was founded under the name "Japan Security Service" (Nihon Keibi Hosho). The logo used for NSS in the anime doesn't match with Secom's at first sight, but the form of the letters is very similar (a line cut the E of Secom like the N of NSS) and blue is the principal color for the two. Also, the old logo for Secom, when it was named Japan Security Service, represents an owl; it could be the reference for the wings on the NSS logo.

Kengan Association companies and their IRL counterparts comparison - 1st Day: Boss Burger

1: Boss Burger (Kengan) / Mos Burger (Real life)

- One of the most obvious ones, these two have: a similar name, a similar logo, were created in 1972 and are respectively the 2nd largest fast-food franchises in Japan. For the case of Mos Burger in real life, it's McDonald's who is first.

- This rivalry with McDonald's has been referenced in Kengan with the CEO of Boss Burger, Ronald Haraguchi, being an obvious reference to Ronald McDonald (McDonald's' previous mascot) in name and appearance. The fact that Boss Burger recruits Adam Dudley, an American, further validates its ties with the American burger giant.

- Haraguchi's least favorite food being fried chicken could reference the real-life fried chicken chain KFC, which is the 3rd largest fast-food franchise in Japan.
