Hello everyone! I am a maker of half-masks (therian masks, as most call em). I recently upgraded my style and materials, but want to add magnetic accessories. Which magnets do you guys use that work good? I’m looking for ones small enough to hide beneath a thin felt layer, but ones that’ll work after I paint over the felt if possible. Thanks! :3

Hello all! Feel free to ignore this, I was recently in a class that requires I post something I wrote for credit. This is that and nothing more! However if you stayed, please enjoy my awful writing of part of the first chapter of my book (it’s old).

Felix hurried down the long hallway of the Hunter’s Academy building. He was in a rush, headed for the end-of-year assessment that all students had to complete every year. Except this was his final assessment. He was a senior. After this, he would finally be paired with a mentor of his very own and begin his real training.   
The doors to the test room were right ahead. Felix checked his watch- 11:58 AM. Thank God. The exam started at 12:00. He had just made it.   
Pushing open the double doors, Felix entered the room. It was a large, grand hall-like room with numerous desks and chairs arranged in an orderly fashion. There were large spaces between desks. Most of them were filled with students already.   
He made his way toward the back wall. His pawsteps echoed on the marble floor. Reflections of the lights above made it seem as though he was walking on top of an endless sky.   
An empty desk right against the wall came into view. Felix hurried toward it and sat. The chair creaked- it was old and wooden with cracks in its frame. The desk was small, made of the same wood as the chair. It was obvious whoever designed these made them to be practical, not classy.   
Felix looked down. On the desk was a large booklet made of many papers stapled together. *The exam.* He breathed a nervous sigh and picked up the pencil on the right side of the desk.   
At that exact moment, a booming voice echoed through the large room. “Everyone, please open your booklets and begin!”   
Felix looked up. A large white furred cat was standing near the front of the room. His boss, a strict tom with exceptional ghost hunting skills. He sometimes visited the classrooms throughout the building. Felix had seen him a few times throughout his time here. He had always seemed like a nice guy, but rather intimidating all the same. So far Felix had never gotten the chance to speak to him. He hoped he’d impress the tom by doing well on this exam.   
Felix looked down at his booklet. He reached down and flipped it open to the first page. A long list of questions greeted him. None of them were multiple choice. He frowned. This test was designed to be difficult for sure.   
The first question read, “What is the difference between red light and normal light?”   
Almost immediately, Felix’s pencil hit the paper. He knew the answer to that question. It was one of the first things he had learned at the academy. Normal light was bright according to ghosts and often scared them into their realm. Red light was easier on their eyes, meaning the hunter would have a better chance of actually finding them. Not to mention red light doesn’t hurt night vision.   
He scribbled down the answer as quickly as he could despite having plenty of time for the rest of the test. Knowing the answer to the first question had to be a good sign.   
The next question was just as easy. “List some common collection items.”   
Collections were little groupings of similar objects that ghosts often created. Researchers guessed that ghosts had collections to connect them to their past lives, even if they didn’t remember it all. Collections could range from small, normal objects like marbles, to things like bicycles or even ice cream cones. They could be anything.   

Felix quickly listed some of the objects that he knew were the most popular to find in a collection. Paper clips, rocks, marbles, toys, books, pens, and hats. 
Onto the next question. Then the next. One by one, Felix answered them all. Most of them he considered to be quite easy. They were evaluation questions about what brings a ghost out of its realm, or describing why graveyards usually weren’t haunted. Simple, straightforward answers that Felix knew by heart. 
But some of the questions toward the end of the exam got harder. They were more loose and opinionated. Felix got stuck on one- “Is it easier to eliminate an angry ghost, or a frightened one?” He thought for a moment. For one, an angry ghost could be dangerous. Reports had shown that some ghosts teased or even attacked their hunters. But likewise, a frightened ghost would be just as hard to catch. It would probably hide in its realm for most of the hunt. 
Felix answered with ‘angry’ after a long bit of thought. Some ghosts could truly be dangerous, especially those who could make physical contact with the living world. 
After what seemed like quite a while but was really only forty seven minutes, all of the questions in the booklet had been answered. Felix stood and made his way through the desks toward the front of the room. Most of them were still filled with students, some who were writing furiously on their papers, others who looked stumped. It seemed as though Felix was one of the first to finish the exam. 
He handed his booklet to the stern-looking she-cat near the door. She gave him a look but said nothing. Felix’s guess was that not many finished this early. 
Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the door and walked out into the hallway. The door closed behind him with a soft thunk. 
Felix felt a strange mixture of euphoria. He had just completed his hunter’s exam. The mere thought of it both terrified and excited him. Whether or not he passed was all that mattered now.
