Question about playing Peach Pit on guitar by a noob
Hi everyone, recently discovered this band through their Audiotree live session and I’m sure I’m one of many who was mesmerised by Chris’s guitar skills.
Besides that I bought a Gibson Les Paul and Boss Katana 50 amp about a year back but with uni I’ve only just started to really get into playing it consistently. I’ve played acoustic for over 10 years but sometimes I get a little lost on the electric. Although I have the playing ability, it’s the amp settings and tone that usually has me confused.
I’ve been practicing the songs Being so Normal and Alrighty Aphrodite and have looked at many covers on YouTube. I notice almost all players have Fenders (I believe Chris plays a Telecaster?).
I was just wondering how restricted I am by playing a Les Paul with my Katana amp to getting a decent tone and if anyone had any advice on getting decent tone? I am a bit of a noob with this so if you could explain it like I am a toddler that may help!
I’m aware the Audiotree version uses a lot of pedals (I believe Wah and volume) and I’m not interested in getting a perfectly accurate tone, just one that sounds nice. I have played around but I’m kind of in a bit of a purgatory stage of finding nice tone and then losing it. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
