Rent increase letter -urgent
Hi, going into panic mode here. UC asked me to provide a signed rent increase letter by the 7th as my tenancy agreement shows a lesser amount than what I claimed to be paying.
I messaged my landlord on the 3rd asking him to generate one and didn't hear from him until i chased him up on sunday the 5th for but they said they weren't home till next Sunday and if I could print off one and he'll sign it, ridiculous ask of the tenant. But I went out MY way, got one of the Scottish Government website filled out the tenant bits and dated when I was notified of the rent increase which was in person.
I send him the PDF for him to sign which will be even easier if he has a stylus built in the phone. His reply was he was travelling just now. I'll need to try to get to it later. Messaged later that night checking if he'd done it. Messages suddenly have a single check mark. Called once through WhatsApp it rang out. Phoned through the phone app, rejected my call.
I informed UC through the journal entry, with dates and times of messages between me and landlord and they just essentially repeated the same message I got the first time: "we cannot verify your housing costs. Please submit a signed rent increase letter, I have created a to do for you"
I'm at a loss
