One step away from bookbinding greatness

I got a lot done this weekend and all I have left to do for all these books is glue the blocks into the cases!!

I will take more individual pictures later when they are all done but I am so proud of these ones, I even printed some different end papers using designs from the discworld coloring book so they look so classy. 😍

The Truth (rebind) shall make ye fret!

Due to life and burnout, i had taken some time off my Discworld paperback collection rebind project, but now I'm back at it! I have a stack of finished covers to attach to the bookblocks, though some of those blocks still need a bit of work. Ideally, i will have things done by mid-July, and that would show past me just who can't complete a project and who can, hah!

Anyway, here's my current favorite cover. I think I am going to redo the covers I had for making money and going postal with these colors cause wow. I love this combination 😍

Scarlet Sails completed rebind

I made my first ever book from start to finish! Up until now, I was just rebinding previously bound books and saving old ripped up and damaged books.

Well, though I've been on the lookout for years for this particular book to rebind, I was unsuccessful. I never even found it in a library that's how rare it was. (My mom has been talking about this book for decades now, I swear)

So, on a whim, I checked the Gutenberg library and discovered it has entered the public domain so my search was over!

I successfully imposed it and printed it off with no issues, though there were some small mistakes I wish I hadn't overlooked,

(future me will remember, I'm sure of it) and the foil edges on the pages was traumatic, but for the most part I'm happy with it.

The book is Scarlet Sails by Alexander Green: has anyone read it?
