Why Indian stand up comedy scene is nowhere close to English stand up comedy scene.

English comics are way more free to discuss taboo topics than indian comics. Anything Indian comics say, might become the reason they end up behind the bars. In a country where serious crimes occur on a daily basis, it surprises me that people are busy in judging the comics and dark jokes. Comics in India get FIRs, but criminals don't. Whatever they say, is not meant to be taken seriously. The jokes might be unfunny at times, but it shouldn't cause an FIR. Also comics nowadays are putting so much emotional messaging in their sets, and the crowd praises them for "great message", " Being emotional". Comics are not supposed to be correct, they are comedians trying to make people laugh, why do they have to be morally correct? They aren't meant to make people emotional, or give good message. Even if they give good message, the main point is to be funny, which the Indian comics are missing. That is the reason India may never have outrageously funny comics Louis Ck, Bill Burr, Anthony jeselnick, Ryan Long etc. Etc.
