Hey everyone, I’ve been building a small Windows utility called Utility Win because I wanted a faster way to open the things I use every day without digging through the Start menu, desktop icons, or File Explorer.

Important :
Windows Search is built for everything: web results, settings, files, apps, ads/suggestions, and background indexing. Utility Win is built for one thing: quickly opening what you actually use. It stays lightweight, opens with a hotkey, focuses the search box instantly, gives you curated shortcuts, supports custom aliases, and avoids the clutter that makes Windows Search feel slow or noisy.

It’s a Spotlight-style launcher for Windows: press a global hotkey, start typing, and instantly open apps, folders, files, quick actions, or custom aliases. It also lives in the system tray, has configurable settings, and includes an MSI installer.
