2-3yrs old grandpa

I don’t know what to do anymore,

He was bleeding from his eyes and i wiped it out, back of his legs aren’t working and he can’t breathe well bc he’s “snoring”

The vets are close bc it’s a national holiday

I also have another rat who now has rabbit disease so it’s even worse now

2 out of 5 rats are sick and I’m losing hope

Good bye my baby :(

19/04/2025 - 16/06/2026

Mew Mew / Miu Miu crossed the rainbow bridge tonight at 8pm on my hands.

She apparently had a “tumor” (not confirmed) on her nose and she also had a swollen tongue, she was soo weak even picking her up was light like a feather.

I had her on my hands while my mom was giving her medicine that the vet gave us yesterday and water since she couldn’t drink, of course giving medicine to rats can be a bit hard because how stubborn they can be. She was pushing at first putting her paws a front of her mouth then my mom told me that she wasn’t moving at all.

I thought she was joking so i faced Mew Mew to me and I saw her light from her eyes fading away and I knew my mom was serious about it. Then the smell came for my mother, the exact same smell that i smelt this morning when i was giving her a kiss on top of her head.

She smelt like org@ns that was rotting and that’s when i knew, she was dying since this morning.

I have this feeling of guilt that maybe i could prevent her from dying if i didn’t give her medicine this night but then again she would continue being in pain for couple more days or months.

I just hope i gave her a better life than she had with/from her previous owner. I know she didn’t trust me even after a year and 2 months of being with her but I loved her regardless and I really hope she knows that I loved her a lot.

I really wasn’t expecting her to be the first one to die from my family rats but then again we can’t predict who dies first.

I just hope she’s in a better place with her other children who was separated from her due her previous owner being an abuser towards them.

Also I hope she trust me of taking care of her daughter now since she’s alone with other 4 rats that aren’t fully part of her blood family.

Mew Mew / Miu Miu, thank you for being in my life and letting me take care of you better than your previous owner, I hope you know that I really love you and don’t regret adopting you and your daughter from SPA in France

I love you so much, I hope you’re safer and happy up there ❤️
