Voigtlander 40mm 1.2 E-Mount on Nikon ZF

Simple post about the 40 Voigt e mount on the Nikon ZF. I personally like seeing adapted lens and how they look so I thought I would do for others who are curious.

While I know there is a perfectly good Z mount version of this particular lens, I am not the biggest fan of its aesthetic as it bulges a bit out to accommodate the larger mount (petty, I know).

Anyway, I like the curves on this variant; and lucky me, my sister owns it for her Sony and let me borrow it indefinitely as she has not used it much lately. This will give me plenty of time to see if it is my perfect combo both performance and looks wise.

Another noteworthy thing is it has the ability to declick the aperture ring for Video or preference which the Z mount version does not do

The adapter is the Megadap Pro and I had it because I also use the Sigma 35 f2 dg dn as my EDC autofocus lens for the ZF mostly for its metal body and nice aesthetic.

Side note: I also have the native 15 and 50 f1 voigts if anyone has any questions about those. 50 is amazing rendering wise, but it is a bit too chunky for an every day lens. I feel it needs the grip to balance it out, and I kind of hate grips on the zf.

Opinions on the Tislim Vosteeds?

Thinking of grabbing one but would like to hear opinions about them.

- not close to my first knife

- just thinking of something different.

- not as concerned about the steel as much as something neat looking. That said, I also don’t want to way over pay either for a crappier steel

Idea for Teleconverters (item on sale today)

I just wanted to share an idea I had for teleconverters for f mount.

I have a 500 f4e fl and a 1.4 iii tc. Have been considering a good method for easy and off of it. I considered this capture lens system from peak designs but it was 90 or so for awhile. However, today it is in the deal zone at bh for 20 bucks.

What I figure is that when I am out with my d850 and 500 f4, this would be a good belt or sling accessory to have quicker access to one or two teleconverters (may get the 1.7 ii).

Anyway, it was just a thought and since I don’t have it yet I can’t try it. Seems like a good idea though. It means it will be readily available and already have one cap to not deal with since it attaches at the rear. Since my strap connects to my lens and not my d850 I can twist off camera easy enough and add the teleconverter.

Just thought I would share since it is a 20 dollar test today only from what I can tell.

I just went to Walmart to buy a ladder, but ended up with this as well for 30 bucks. I kinda always wanted to grab a copy and thought it would be a good knife to carry when suited up for a wedding I am attending soon. Some have complained about deployment, but I find if you hold it low and use a direct thumb flick it is very smooth. Can even use the pointer finger on the clip as a counter point (yes my nails need a trim….doing now)

Side Note: the Chinese was very good

I just wanted to give some positive feedback for camdec lens caps via ebay. Bought for the 500 f4e because I hate the stupid cloth hood thing. I know most love Zemlin too. This particular cap was 40 vs Zemlin’s 57 sale price in the US. Anyway, options are nice and I am satisfied with it
