[Routine Help] Seasonal combination + acne prone skin, need routine critique after unlearning harmful skincare myths.
24F, started trying to improve my skincare routine after years of 2x a day Noxzema + astringent, leaving me with a lot of acne scars and dry skin. I have very dry cheeks in the winter and a very oily t-zone in the summer, and I'm very pale, so looking to incorporate a light-weight sunscreen as well.
This is my current routine, 1 year in:
AM:
-Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser (Salicylic Acid 2%)
-Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer (Salicylic Acid 0.5%)
PM:
-I take a hot shower in the evening, don't put any soap on my face
-Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer (Salicylic Acid 0.5%)
-Occasional Benzoyl Peroxide 10% spot treatment that I leave on overnight
This has helped with my acne a bit, but I still get clusters of small pimples on my forehead and chin, with larger pimples showing up on my cheeks, neck, & chest frequently. I have kind of a limited budget, but all recs are appreciated. Also, any recommendations for dark circles under the eyes as well?
