Just did some roof patcher

Did a temporary fix on the pop-up this week. The roof had a ton of spider cracks in the ABS and a bunch of old patches, but luckily the plywood underneath wasn’t damaged, just a little wet. Dried everything out, patched the cracks, and sealed the roof with Flex Seal. It should hopefully buy me another season or two. Still finishing up some spots and the seal.

Next up is the canvas. The walls are actually in pretty good shape with no rips or tears. One thing I noticed though on the Westlake, where the lift poles are, there’s an aluminum cover on the inside of the roof that the canvas Velcros to. On the sides of that cover there are small gaps. Not sure if it’s a factory flaw or just how these campers age.

For the people familiar with these pop-ups, is this the kind of thing everyone just lives with, or should I be chasing perfection and trying to seal every little gap?
