My favorite dresses that I didn’t pick!

I came into this appointment with my mind set on getting dress #3 (Rosalia from Leah Da Gloria) but I was completely blown away by the other options!! My stylist did her job way too well and made it a much harder choice than I ever expected it to be 😂 so I wanted to give some love to the favorites I didn’t choose! We’re planning an intimate wedding in Tuscany and wanted to go for something romantic.

Just chose my dress and I love it!! But… is it normal to still be thinking about the others?

I just picked my dress today and it took me completely by surprise!! I’d been dreaming about lace dresses for months, never really had interest in simpler styles, and actually came to this appointment to try on a specific lace dress. I fell in love with the first four I tried but didn’t quite have that moment or feeling I was expecting to have when finding “the one”. Then my stylist pulled this one - said she wanted me to try it as a “palate cleanser” before going back and re-trying my favorites, and I just started crying after putting it on and walking out to show my friends and mom as you can kind of see in photo 6 lol.

I think the veil and the lace peaking out at the bust really tried it together for me - I still got the beautiful lace details and it’s the drama I was looking for!! I absolutely love my dress and all of my guests at the appointment were obsessed and also crying seeing me in this one which helped make the decision easier. Sorry for the lack of front facing photos, I literally couldn’t stop staring at in the mirror hahaha but I included a designer photo at the end. I feel like my photos also don’t do the front justice compared to in person at all!

However… I’m still thinking about a couple of the first dresses and wondering if they looked better on me even though I didn’t have quite the same immediate reaction. Is this normal or a bad sign? This was only my third appointment so I hope I wasn’t too impulsive 😅

Hi everyone! I haven’t actually gone to try on any dresses yet but have a few appointments coming up this month and I’m super excited!! One of the boutiques has a dress that is so far one of my favorites (from Leah Da Gloria). However, I know realistically that I would never pay full price for that dress as it’s close to 10k. Butttt I did find it on a wedding dress resale site for about half the cost in what seems to be my size (but TBD - trying not to get my hopes up) and I would be willing to pay that price if it’s as good as I’m hoping.

Has anyone done this before? Unfortunately, the seller is located out of the country so I can’t see it in person before purchasing, but I know there are protections for the buyers in case of issues. It also is unaltered and the seller says it was dry cleaned, and it appears to not have any flaws. I had mentioned my thought process to a few friends though, and one of them had been shocked at the idea of a used wedding dress in a not so supportive sort of reaction. Is it weird/a bad idea to do so? Maybe it doesn’t seem as odd to me as I thrift and buy vintage designer secondhand pretty often so I don’t mind the idea but that caught me off guard. I’m just a little nervous about the risk with spending so much on a dress.

Let me know if you have any advice/similar experiences and if there’s anything I should watch out for or ask the seller! Thanks 😊
