Greeks in Gaul

I wanted to test the Virtual Limes mod and decided it would be cool to do so with Massalia, attempting to form the Phocean League—which I had never done before. It was an extremely challenging campaign. The Virtual Limes mod works in a way where large empires or kingdoms create special vassals, like Military Marches, and a special one for Rome called 'Friend and Ally of Rome.' They establish these vassals and, after some time, annex them diplomatically. This makes things much harder, as they essentially build a wall of surprisingly strong vassals around themselves.

Having said all that, I hate Rome. I could write a 10-page essay on how much I hate Rome in this Massalia campaign. The number of defensive wars I had to fight against them was sheer hell. They just don't stop attacking! As soon as a peace treaty expires, they almost immediately declare war again. They were constantly trying to take my capital province, which would have been game over if I had lost it.

At one unlucky moment, I had to fight three consecutive wars against Rome because they declared war on my tributaries one after the other... I spent almost 19 straight years at war, with my war exhaustion maxed out... Man, I really hate Rome

An issue with the Steppe Horde

I know that Scythia can turn into a Steppe horde at the end of their mission tree. However, I sometimes see the tribes north of Bactria becoming a horde as well, so I wanted to play as one of the tribes with the Alani culture, turn into a horde, and sweep down toward Bactria and the Seleucids.

The problem is, when I tried playing them, the option or mechanic to become a horde never appeared... Can someone explain to me why this is? I want to know if this is something only the AI can do.

Reformando um reino destruido

I had never played with any civilization in this region south of Arabia, but I knew that Sheba had a mission tree and a lot of surplus buffs for slaves.

Overall, the campaign was extremely fun and good, featuring various conquest and development missions. After finishing the Sheba mission, you unlock another mission tree to unify Arabia. I decided to expand next into the regions of Canaan, Syria, Assyria, and Mesopotamia, as well as a few pieces of other provinces to make the borders look nice. I kept developing the empire until the end of the game, transforming it into a plutocratic imperial cult.
