Tulip/flip flop/mitten/heart cookie

Do any Panera employees know the recipe to the tulip cookie BEFORE the transition from baked to frozen? I used to loooove this cookie sm but then last year my friend who works at Panera said they switched to frozen food only. So one day I went to go get my beloved cookie and it tasted so different I was heartbroken. The base is similar I think but the icing is so waxy and thick. So if anyone who works there/used to work there knows how they were made before I would greatly appreciate it so I can make it at home.
