freshman year dorm questions

this is just a really long laundry list of questions, would be grateful for any insight

- do amr 3 residents get access to the basement level of amr 2 with the music rooms/social lounges, etc?

- for amr 3, how is the climate control usually? i get that it's central, but is it typically at a comfortable temperature?

- do people use the cardio machines a lot in mccoy/wolman or are they typically available?

--> also for mccoy/wolman, what machines do they have?

- what on EARTH do yall use the theater at wolman for?

- how active are the social lounges in each respective dorm? or it kinda dependent on the freshman class?

- how often do people use the communal kitchens?

thanks for all your help!

rejection is redirection (got into a t10, t1 for my major + sweeped UCs)

title mainly. i got rejected from soooo many competitive summer programs throughout highschool i thought i was cooked for college apps. for context i applied a very competitive STEM/Pre-Med major, I PROMISE you are not cooked.

instead of spending thousands on these stayaway summer programs, i took stem classes at my local community college. i learned a lot of really valuable lab procedures, breezed through my AP courses during the school year, and spent less than 100 bucks. plus, CC classes, at least in my experience, give you a lot more exposure to your professors, so it would have been really easy for me to get a letter of rec from those professors (i have friends who did this).

summer programs are great opportunities, but they aren't the only opportunities. peek your local CC!!
