Over advanced, TMJ degeneration, burning nerve damage, complex revision
Hey all. I hate to ask but just engaging with this or sharing with your circles would mean a lot to me.
My entire story and plenty of medical documents / proof are on my GFM.
Long story short, I got over advanced, my TMJ shit out on me and I have burning neuropathic pain in my lip. Also airway so large I can’t swallow water or spit without choking - a surgeon on Monday told me it was “pathologically too large.”
Still trying to decide if I proceed with hardware removal next month and Mr neurogram hoping the nerve repair is fixable. But at 9 months PO the chances are slim.
I need a Lefort revision setback and TJR and genio revision.
I went with insurance the first time and now I’m a complicated case and insurance surgeons are declining to help me.
I’m 32 and moving back into my mom’s house because there’s no way I can continue to pay rent and pay toward this surgery. My life feels pretty much ruined. It’s very depressing and far from where I wanted to be. I was a simple case and I got totally fucked up.
