Is it just me or do all the first year students feel like math has become for conceptual then calculating ? I mean in hs maths was just about calculations and algebra but in uni it has become more conceptual. I just wanna know is it just me or does everyone feels like this
I got an invitation to swap and take phys 125 for phys 120. So I just wanted to ask as someone who wants to transfer in ensc in future should I consider taking this course ? I want to take this course but I have also heard that this course significantly harder then phys 120 which is already really difficult so what do you guys think ?
Hello everyone so I am an upcoming international sfu student.I completed my high school in canada. I’ve been living bc for the last 2 years as I don’t have a pr I really can’t do anything right now except waiting for my study permit. I was thinking of joining swimming classes so do you guys know where can I join them ? Registration is closed in rec center’s( this is what I’ve seen). I was thinking of giving cmpt 120 placement exam and going directly into cmpt 125 I have some experience in python I am okay with loops and defining a function just confuses me a bit and I know a few conceptual things (I guess they are conceptual) like sorting, time complexity, binary search and recursions, so if you have given the test can u guys tell me how did u do on the test and how much experience in python did u guys had before giving this test ?
