D'egg Box

I don't know what's more strange, the beyblade community selling out an innocuous egg holder on amazon or how perfectly the beyblades fit in them.

My BX and UX decks. I...ordered another 2pack for my UX...plus a spare

I also ordered some markers and I'm collecting custom stickers, I'm looking forward to decorating these!

So, Bad News about Gyro War X...

I bought one of the bootleg gyro x blades off of alliexpress, but bought this tester off amazon in advance. It finally arrived today so I wanted to inspect it before I tried it in any battles, but I don't think I'll take that risk now.

Obviously, people can buy and play with whatever they want but I post this as a psa for anybody who was considering or has a friend considering buying one. Personally, I won't be using it for battle and looking for a way to safely keep it for display purposes, I already threw away the launcher it came with though.

Reminder that lead is most dangerous when consumed but is still harmful in any amount, be aware as you can about where your beyblades come from when ordering online, even if it's through a verified site like Walmart or Amazon, there are still non Hasbro/Takara sellers on there.

I opened this thing just a little while ago and it's already got scuffs and scratches that are liable to release lead dust even though it hasn't seen play. Don't be like my boyfriend and I in the first couple pictures handling these things with your bare hands and wash your hands thoroughly if you believe you've handled a beyblade from a less then legitimate source just in case.

Peace and love ✌️

EDIT: Okay so as it turns out swabs can give false positives upon contact with Zinc, and the swabs I bought don't provide any sort of disclaimer over false positives, but more over, there isn't any convenient test for lead within metals, in spite of what some listing may say. Theres no commercial means of testing lead within metals short of using a spectrometer. I recommend this post by u/LawNational1712 which also contains a helpful link to a google drive with pictures of their testing both legitimate and midfake beyblades.

TLDR: Buy bootlegs toys at your own risk with the understanding you don't have convenient means of testing it for lead, but also the likelihood of said toys containing lead to begin with isn't very high depending on the manufacturer and make of the item.

Thanks to everyone who was supportive and didn't make me feel too bad, I appreciate your research and I'm feeling more informed. I apologize for the information hazard, and I'll personally be doing more research in to where my bootlegs come from and what they're made with, as well as the possibility of lead or any other harmful material that could end up in them. Thank you, bladers!
