Help deciding between JBL 800 pro vs LG s75qtr vs LG s95tr .

Currently offers are running on Amazon India where some soundbars are on sale at discount.

LG s75qtr : Rs 28000

JBL 800Pro : Rs 45000

LG s95tr : Rs 56000

I am leaning towards the LG s75qtr because of the lower cost. But I am not sure if I am making the right choice. Can anyone advise which to choose?

Started investing in Dec 2023, now holding 30+ mutual funds — should I consolidate or stay diversified?

I started investing around December 2023, and currently about 50% of my portfolio is in mutual funds.

One piece of advice I keep hearing is to limit the total number of mutual funds to around 3–5 because holding too many funds can reduce overall returns in the long run. Since I was still learning and experimenting with different categories of funds, I ended up investing across more than 30 mutual funds.

Yes, I know this sounds like I’m running my own mutual fund 😅

However, I did check portfolio overlap using Fundoo/Fundlap tools, and most funds only showed around 7–8% overlap.

Out of these 30 funds:

6 are ELSS funds (I know this was not a smart move). They are locked in until next January.

7 are international mutual funds focused on the US, Europe, Japan, and Taiwan.

The reason I invested in multiple international funds is because many of them randomly stop accepting SIPs or lump-sum investments. Because of that, I registered SIPs directly through AMCs whenever they were available. Even now, some funds like Invesco Global Equity have stopped accepting SIPs despite already being registered. So reducing the count on the international side feels difficult.

For the remaining funds:

Small cap: Bandhan, Mahindra

Midcap 150: Motilal Oswal

Flexi cap: Parag Parikh

Multi-asset allocation: Nippon, Kotak, Sundaram

→ I may consolidate these into 1–2 funds by year-end.

I also hold:

ICICI Dividend Yield Fund

Franklin India Opportunities Fund

I’m not actively SIP-ing into these anymore. I only have around ₹35k invested in each and may close them by next March depending on performance.

I also experimented with thematic funds:

MNC: ICICI

Pharma: HDFC

Defence: Motilal Oswal

Energy & Minerals: Tata and Nippon

Consumer: Mirae

Technology: SBI

I’m considering reviewing these after 2 years based on XIRR and possibly exiting some of them.

So far, my portfolio XIRR is around 17%, and even during downturns, the lowest it went was around 12%.

Now I’m confused about how to proceed.

I don’t want to over-diversify and hurt long-term growth, but I also don’t want to make the mistake of exiting good funds too early and regretting it years later.

Would really appreciate advice from experienced investors:

Should I aggressively consolidate?

Is 30+ funds actually harmful if overlap is low?

How do you decide which thematic/international funds to keep long term?

Is simplifying into fewer funds really better for returns, or just easier to manage?
