The Strix

If anybody was wondering why I don’t sell physical prints, it’s because they look like ASSSSSSS. Print lines and ugly support breaks. Anyways, here’s the Strix, an owl-inspired helmet I’ve been working on, featuring my hideously chaotic workspace.

Beskad

Hey guys sorry it’s taking so long to get the Beskad finished but I’m being meticulous about its design so that everything articulates well. I’ve decided to go with a single sheath that can simply be mirrored in your slicer to work for both a back draw and a waist draw.

Someone had requested a single-edged version so that’ll be included as well, and will have a sheath of its own.

Both versions can be cut as necessary to fit most printers. I have tested printing with vertical orientation and it seems to work pretty well. Both swords are designed with a shaft that will fit a 3/8” wood dowel to run the length of the piece for stability. Epoxy worked wonders for me for affixing the pieces.

Any more suggestions before I embark on the home stretch??

Mandalorian… sword..?

Heyyyy guys. Figured I’d give the helmets a break and try my hand at something more offensive than defensive.

It’s not done and I’ve got lots of detail work to do but I’m making a Mandalorian/beskar short sword with two sheath options. One for the waist and the other for the back. The blade can be split and printed in as many pieces as desired, and there’s a set of spines that print independently that slide through all the pieces to keep it all together. I’m trying to integrate a bit of Mandalorian iconography on the cross guard and pommel.

I’m gonna start working on a dagger as well.

Any suggestions? Questions? less

UPDATE: link to the file is at the bottom

Alright so, you guys are probably tired of all these new helmet variants by now but here’s another one 😅

The Patriarch and the Matriarch.

Both are inspired by the Nite Owl Mandalorians but I wasn’t a big fan of the cheeks on the Nite Owls, it makes the whole thing look a bit too bucket-ish in my humble opinion.

The only difference between these two is the eye shapes.

The earcaps are advanced, but designed with flat printing in mind with no supports required, same with the rear vent. There’s a cranial band that wraps around to the earcaps.

The interior’s geometry is clean and spacious, and has a passthrough vent through the back for airflow.

Haven’t made any mods for these yet but what would you want if it could be modded?

Let me know what you think!

Firstly, pay no mind to my absolute ass print quality 😂 it’s a constant battle, lemme tell you.

This is the Elite Commando, a tactical Mando helmet based off of Din’s helmet. Meant to be modular and personalized. Comes with a tac visor, freestanding earcaps, lower earcaps, earcap greeblies, and I have an antenna and rangefinder in the works. Questions, suggestions, requests or comments below or just dm me. May the 4th be with you!

Greetings friends! After much toil, I’m proud to present The Bruiser, which comes in two variants.

The Bruiser is a Heavy Mandalorian helmet variant.

It features sharp, angular cheeks that lead down to long mandibles which frame a narrow, aggressive T-visor.

The faceplate and dome are reinforced to double the average thickness, reaching back to cover a third of the dome starting at the face to increase blast and impact resistance, making The Bruiser an exceptionally rare helmet due to the excessive amount of beskar required to craft it.

The back of The Bruiser features an oxygen port, which is covered by a vented, ovular rebreathing pod so that the wearer has access to actual airflow without sacrificing style. The dome flairs outwards from the crown at a 7 degree angle, making plenty of space to accommodate for internal fans, voice mods, and padding.

Integrated earcap recesses accommodate 30x3mm magnets for the modular earcaps made specially for The Bruiser.

There are two different earcap mods:

-The first set of earcaps is attached by a cranial band which rests atop the rear band of the helmet and is a single-piece assembly.

-The second set of earcaps are independent for a more minimalist look, attaching securely to the helmet with neodymium magnets.

The print files will be up on my Etsy shop tomorrow at noon, and the raw prints will be up (made to order, custom-sized and printed exclusively in ASA for maximum heat resistance and durability) shortly after! You can find that link below 👇

Thank you guys so much for all the encouragement and support!

If you have questions or suggestions, let me know :)

Shout out to Whale-dinner for the name suggestion!

I wanted to design a helmet based off of Din Djarin’s. I have always disliked that the inside bottom corners of the mandibles were angular on his helmet, I think it weakens the face and makes it appear soft. I sought to remedy that by pulling the mandibles to their logical points and then added a few tactical goodies as well. I’m working on a tactical visor, some swappable earcaps, and an antenna variant. I’ve seen Din’s style of helmet affectionately named the “commando” by the community so I’m working with the “Elite Commando” as a name for the top prototype. Thoughts??
