I was thinking of volunteering or otherwise getting involved with WFMU - I can have a lot if social anxiety, so this was a big step for me.

Earlier this year a friend I’d made on the comments board ended up being SUPER creepy at me and now I’m totally scared off.

I don’t log onto the comments board any more - mostly just listen to the archives so I can avoid them completely.

I feel weirdly guilty? Idk why.

I’d still like to be more involved but this other person is inescapable, even though they don’t have any direct affiliation with the station.

Any well-attended event is likely to have at least one person present fulfilling the role of “Mr. Zany”. You may recognize Mr. Zany by his silly hat, wacky shirt, kooky footwear, and/or elaborate facial hair. Mr. Zany almost certainly arrived without a date.
