This is a popular series written by Meng Xi Shi, the author of Qian Qiu (Thousand Autumns) and has been licenced by seven seas entertainment, complete with 5 volumes. There is a manhua adaptation, unfortunately it was dropped (like many others)

It centers around themes of mystery, historical fiction, romance, politics and court intrigue (not completely but well...) and the dynamic between the mains will just have you hooked. They hide their schemes behind fake smiles, but the understanding between them is of two sly foxes...or one sly fox and one sly oleander spirit. The mc is a sickly, strategic fox and the ml is no less cunning, shameless and of course very very very beautiful

The mc, Cui Buqu is the Chief of the Zuoyue Bureau which operates directly under the Empress. The other one operated under the Emperor is the Jianjie Bureau. These two bureaus keep the other one in check. The ml, Feng Xiao who is the Deputy Chief of the Jianjie Bureau is called to investigate the disappearance of a Heavenly Jade that was carried with an envoy who was murdered. Later on, he goes to a temple to search for a suspicious Master Cui. He takes him into custody, treats him like a prisoner and the mc ends up sick bcs he is in poor health (and bcs a slow acting poisonous incense was used). Bcs the mc can prove useful to the investigation, the ml keeps him by his side. Could he be part of the Zuoyue Bureau? This is an opportunity according to the ml, but did Cui Buqu actually fall into a trap or was he playing a game of chess all along?...the twist : He placed himself on the board.

Spoilers for those who want them : >!Feng Xiao leads the Fajing Sect which is of the three Great demonic sects. A princess is obsessed with Feng Xiao but he doesn't reciprocate. Cui Buqu's mother was raped by her husband's brother and this conceived him. He was poisoned by the brother's wife out of jealousy. His mom died, but he survived. The main threat : The thirteen floors of yunhai is led by Xiao Lü, the man with a deformed arm from volume 2. Feng Xiao shaves all his hair out. Feng Xiao pretends to join the thirteen floors of yunhai as well, he stabs Cui Buqu to fake colluding with them. Qiao Xian, Cui Buqu's Deputy was actually working with Xiao Lü from the beginning. (they not really in order of the actual events) Like really...they kiss idk how many times before the actual confession....even before Cui Buqu realizes his feelings...in a life or death situation !<

Realization of feelings? Feng Xiao realizes he likes Cui Buqu >!at the beginning of volume 4 after he stabbed Cui Buqu and goes to check up on him.!< Cui Buqu sort of realizes >!around the end of volume 4, and into volume 5. !<

Confession? >!“Cui Buqu, I like you. If you live, I’ll deign to stay by your side for a lifetime. If you die, even if the Zuoyue Bureau buries you, I will dig up your grave and scatter your bones. I will ensure your soul cannot rest and will never reincarnate.”!<

If I had to rate this series out of 10 , I would give it a 9.1 (But really when I was reading it, it felt like a ten out of ten)

This series is written by the famous writer, Priest and is licenced by Rosmei to have 5 volumes in total. There is also a manhua adaptation, but on fortunately it got dropped and a donghua adaptation with one season.

The series centers around themes of modern setting, romance, supernatural forces, demons and yao, historical themes (backstory of characters) and mystery.

It is normal for people to have abilities and supernatural capabilities. These abilities are all unique for each metahuman and can very from case to case, from elemental powers to psychic powers. Xuan Ji is the new director of the Reparations Department (ok well he got tricked...) of the Deviant Control Offices. On his first day, they receive a case that an entity has been caught. A suspicious individual, named Sheng Lingyuan had been resurrected with a bloody curse. What ties does this mysterious individual have with xuan ji and the DCO? What is his connection to the Human Emperor who jumped into Chiyuan years ago? But Xuan Ji himself has a mysterious past of his own.

Although at first, they consider each other enemies, they share a complex relationship that dates back to centuries ago. Old friends meet again, considering the other foe, only for them to realize later on that the other person resides in their own heart. The romance is really, really slow-burn, but overall the series offers a good read. >!(Xuan Ji is the gong and Sheng Lingyuan is the shou.... so yes we have a powerhouse bottom here)!<

Spoilers for those who want them : >!Xuan Ji is actually Sheng Lingyuan's sword spirit who was forged from a vermilion bird baby.....Sheng Lingyuan is Sheng Xiao, the Human Emperor. Xuan Ji loved Sheng Lingyuan even when he was a sword spirit. Sheng Lingyuan also loved him back. Sheng Lingyuan and Xuan Ji still have a telepathic connection and Xuan Ji's sword is actually created from Sheng Lingyuan's remains after he jumped into Chiyuan. !<

I was just sitting and admiring all these pics in my gallery and then decided to paste them like this. (Forgive me if it's rather mediocre...my first time doing this...) And I may or may not have pasted that chibi picture there bcs there was a big gaping blank in the middle of the thing. 😭😭

This series is written by the author Yi Yi Yi and is licenced by Rosmei consisting of 3 volumes in total.

It explores themes of transmigration, romance, politics and court intrigue and is quite similar to svsss when it comes to humour and our mc's internal monologue.

The mc was reading a web novel before he died and when he visited his mentally ill brother, he got told to die - So die he did. He jumped off the building...and then woke up as the cut sleeve villain emperor of the web novel he was reading. The ml was the prince of the enemy nation who got captured and was selected to be a concubine for the emperor. Now he has to try and get into the good books of the ml, so that he doesn't end up dead (again). Gradually though, the ml realizes that the mc means him no harm. But of course the mc ends up changing things the moment he transmigrated. >!He accidentally prevented the ml from meeting his original white moonlight which led to the original plot being thrown off balance. His concubines also noticed that their emperor didn't favour them one tiny bit anymore.!<

Note : There's also a cute side couple >!(Princess x Princess)....The original female lead of the original novel plus another foreign princess !<

Spoilers for those who want them : >!The mc tells the ml that he is actually not the emperor but another soul who entered the body. The mc's heart to harden after his servant died and he distances himself from the ml. At some point the mc thinks the ml wants to castrate him, not knowing it was a plot by another person. Towards the latter half of the story, the mc fakes being a woman to the ml as he goes blind temporarily. !<

If I had to rate this series out of 10, I would give it a 8.7

This series is written by Long Qi and is currently unlicenced. It is an e-Sports danmei that spans 299 chapters.

The mc is 19 yrs old and the ml is a professional player known as Close who is the captain of the team FTW (For The Win). The mc originally was meant to sign a contract in the past with the team, but something happened made him quit joining the team. The ml really wanted him to join the team and believe pd he was a talent. The mc has a friend that is part of the team as well. One night when the mc is playing, he gets a "Boss" who plays him and pays him 2 million. It's none other than the ml actually. Then the ml personally visits the mc's house and finds out what happened, takes the mc to the team base and then convinces him to join the team. He even goes so far as to create a space for the mc's dog in the room. After that it's basically just them playing, training, taunting (done by mc) other opponents, and then the romance kicks in at some point.

The dynamic between the mains is so cute. Shameless shou x Gentle Gong.... actually the gong is only gentle with the mc.....in reality he has a cold exterior and basically a lotta people fear him and tread carefully around him (the exception being the mc of course)

Spoilers (for those who want them) : >!The mc and ml played for 3 days in the past and the ml was returning the mc's phone when he saw the msg from his mom. The mc was sleepwalking and then attached himself to the ml.The mc's grandmother passed away and that's why he didn't play professionally (I'm just being a little brief bcs it will take a while to explain the whole thing). The ml suffers from a severe, chronic shoulder injury. Confession : The mc said if they won a certain competition, the ml would allow him to do one thing. He could get angry but he couldn't throw him out for it. They didn't win but the ml tried guessing what it could be, realization hit him and then he kisses the mc.!<

If I had to rate this series, I would give it a 8.5 out of 10.

So like I know we say Vein is the main antagonist for Bridon Arc and he killed Cheng Xiaoshi plus he's a threat to our main group. But what are your takes on him? What would u prefer abt his character that was different?

Just finished reading the translated chapters for the manhua and I want more!!!! Does anyone know where u can read the rest of it? Even if it's untranslated or in Chinese?

This series is written by Zhichu and has a novel and beautiful manhua adaptation. The novel consists of 120 chapters - 109 as the main storyline and 11 extra chapters 🤗 (unlicenced btw... I'm dedicating my time to promoting unlicenced works as well now)

The mc is a beautiful young lad who is the main dancer, lead singer and main center of the boy band, Kaleido. The ml is the main rapper of the group and is air-born, 3 years younger than the mc. The mc and ml didn't get along but at the airport, the ml rubbed a ticket on the mc's cheek as a teasing or playful gesture (ok but he still didn't like mc back then) and everyone started shipping them together. Then their boss tells them to do fanservice and that's where it all starts! As they start to understand each other, they begin to fall for each other and then fall harder for each other.

There's also beautiful side ships as well!!! They are a band of 6 beautiful guys so how many ships in total? - THREEE!!! The side characters really provide comedic relief and if u start to read it, you'll instantly catch on to the 2 side ships.

The series centers on fanservice, showbiz, music, romance, modern setting and uh....lots of laughs basically. If you are reading the manhua, please note it is not complete yet. The manhua is following the long storyline but slowly and eventually it will be completed (hopefully). The novel may seem really long but once you start reading and if you really enjoy it then youll be flying through chapters. But it's really slow-burn so many people drop it.

Spoilers for whoever wants them : >!The mc's backstory is so sad. His father left them and he was a dancer, broke his leg, started alcohol and left one day. His grandfather doesn't talk to him bcs he didn't listen to him and still continued dancing. The ml's parents are really none the better. Neglect at it's finest. Luckily he had his sister. There's a character from another band called seven luminaries who liked mc and yeah....mc was supposed to be part of 7L. The ml confession occurs in a car. The mc confession occurs in the hospital when the ml gets injured.!<

If I had to rate this series out of 10 it would definitely get a 9!! 😆

The mc was from a special division called Heavens Window that operated for the emperor. Feeling that he has sinned too much in this place as the Head of the division, he leaves. But everyone who leaves must be embedded with the nails of seven apertures which are seven nails embedded in your body with poison that kills you in two years. The mc hides his beautiful face and adopts the guise of a poor man. The ml and his female companion (no pls not that companion) spot him and that's how they meet. The ml sees his martial arts and suspects that he's been part of Heavens Window. A series of events happen involving the Ghost Valley and the martial world in which the mc and ml get entangled in, leading these two to have to embark on an adventure alongside each other and many others join them on this journey. One more thing : The ml is convinced that the mc actually has a beautiful face but is hiding it. >!Apparently he could tell because beauties have great shoulder blades.!<

This series has romance, martial arts, historical fiction, good plot and good world building!! I was absolutely hooked on the plot and the characters left deep impressions on me that I'll remember for life.

If I had to rate this series out of 10 it would get a solid 8.4 (and yes I'm being very specific here)

I just started reading the link click manhua to you know...relive the happy moments and all but then I see an entirely different thing in chapter one. Correct me if I'm wrong but I do not remember the first episode (or any other episode) having smt abt actors or a drama 😟...but it's new stuff to me so I will enjoy reading it but the manhua is supposed to follow the donghua...so where did this come from then? 😶

Firstly everyone, I'm not a redditor copying the user who puts up the soo good posts on this subreddit....I am the original redditor I just got a new account (Adventurous_Act_7423 was my old one. This has now been deleted but my community is still running)

Secondly... let's get this review into order After being forced to marry the evil star general is a politically arranged marriage danmei that is not licenced by any publisher... hopefully someone will pick it up though. Our mc is a scheming shou who is known for having a bad reputation, a deceitful, vile murderer who is unjust. The ml is known for being a golden retriever in a sense and is known to be an evil star who kills his wife and those around him...an ugly boor...look at the picture ( 2nd one ) of this general and you'll see that last statement was utter rubbish. There was a huge downpour if rain and lightning and Mount Tai shook... not long after the emperor announces a wedding between Deputy Prime Minister Zhao Yelan and General Yan Mingting and the mc pulls a knife on the ml first thing after getting married 😅

This series revolves around arranged marriage, historical fiction, politics, mystery, court intrigue and romance of course. The dynamic between the mains will make you laugh out loud sometimes but it is cute, adorable and absolutely lovable. I have not completed this series yet but from research >!I have gathered that there is no explicit sex, either curtain fade or fade to black... limited to kissing and hugging.!<

How much would I rate this series? Hm....9 out of 10 maybe. It was a really good read honestly!!
