X24 Treadmill Touchscreen (brand new)
Our brand new X24 Treadmill arrived yesterday afternoon (22 hours ago). There was no noticeable damage to the shipping box besides usual scuff marks and my wife and I were both present to watch the unload and movement. We have several pieces of gym equipment already and so assembly is nothing new to us. We watched the video and followed all instructions meticulously to assemble the machine. When we finally turned the treadmill on it went to the language selection screen and was in English so we pushed next. Nothing happened. Tried selecting other languages and the console will randomly respond to touch. Tried tapping “Next” again and tapped all around 100 times and it finally went to the time zone screen. It will not let us select Pacific. Really it seems to only respond to touch in the center of the screen. You can scroll and randomly select time zones in the center but again, no reaction selecting “Next”.
We did all of the troubleshooting we could find - unplug 60 seconds then plug back in; factory reset with the paper clip; unscrew the console mounts and verify the cords are plugged in correctly and not pinched; cleaned the screen; let the machine warm up (it’s Arizona so not cold anyway). NOTHING has worked or made any changes. Of course when we try to contact customer service they’re only open M-F regular business hours.
I am absolutely infuriated with this company right now and thinking about the nonsense we will have to deal with for weeks/months now to fix things. Now we have the entire weekend to keep hoping the console will miraculously work and we can use our $3k machine.
Has anybody else dealt with the situation before and what can we expect now? Any advice/tips dealing with customer service? Thank you.
