Hello guys!
im looking for recomandations for a end of chain box, im looking at the OTO boum atm but would like to know if there are alternatives, i need something give a bit of punch to my techno rig.
I’m looking for a new VCO and would love to hear from people who have hands-on experience with any of these:
Verbos Complex Oscillator
Cwejman VCO-2RM
Xaoc Odessa
I make hypnotic techno, though I’m not necessarily looking for something genre-specific.
For those who have used one or more of these: what did you like or dislike? How do they sit in a mix? Any regrets, surprises, or alternatives I should consider?
Thanks!
Hello guys!
i've just seen this video of the new Bohm HPN Model, it looks like its the perfect thing for background groove's for techno, my point is that i want to use the kick from my drummachine and not the bohm, has anyone tried the new firmware to use it as just a low-end back end generator without the main kick of bohm, if this is possible?
Hello guys!
i wanted to share a perfect solution for a cheap travel case its based on the roland cb-b37
cb-b37
i've bought some cheap foam, cut it in the middle out of the shape of the tr-1000 and is sits flush, and its very safe doesn't move around
+ its from roland 😄

Hello!
i've tried loading samples on the tr-1000 in wav and mp4 but it said error on the screen, anyone that has done this?
After 2 years of tweaking, learning, breaking things, and rebuilding from scratch… I finally finished my techno case.
I just wanted to take a moment to genuinely thank this community. r/modular has been a constant source of inspiration, problem-solving, and deep knowledge. Whether it was old threads, random patch ideas, or people answering my probably very basic questions early on — it all added up.
This system started as a “just a small rack” (as they all do), and slowly evolved into something that actually feels like myinstrument. Along the way I’ve:
Learned synthesis way deeper than I ever expected
Made a lot of questionable patching decisions
Bought modules I didn’t need (and sold them again 😅)
Had a few “why is there no sound??” existential crises
But now… it finally clicks. The workflow feels natural, the sound is exactly where I want it, and most importantly — it makes me want to sit down and create techno for hours.
thank you all. Seriously. Couldn’t have gotten here without this weird, brilliant corner of the internet.
Curious to hear what your “it finally clicked” moment was.
Hello!
Is there anyone that has tried loading loop samples and if this is easy to do with timings etc
