Should I be worried?

Hi everyone, just checking in on hiring. I just moved to Elmhurst last week, and I’ve been applying to jobs in Queens since April. I’ve only gotten three online interviews since then and no follow ups otherwise. Is that normal for a teacher who’s new to the district? I’ve got five years experience in Buffalo, a strong portfolio, good references, and a (I think) solid New Teacher Finder profile. Based on the info does it sound like something is wrong with my applications, or should I just keep waiting?

EDIT: certified in ELA 7-12, but only applying to high schools so far because that’s where my experience lies.

Hi all!
Hoping to start teaching in Queens next school year, moving from Buffalo over the summer. I’m about to finish my fifth year of teaching in Buffalo, which would have me making about 84k in NYC according to the last ladder I could find. Do you know if that’s the pay I could reasonably expect, or is there a chance I’d be lower on the ladder?
