How do CoC Campaigns work?

I’m planning to run a CoC campaign coming from dming d&d and from what I understand campaigns work very differently. I’ve had a brief look and I’ve seen most people recommend running an adventure or two instead of a full blown campaign and I think that would work significantly better for my table as we don’t have loads of times for our games. But I have a few questions. Are adventurers like this typically linked (contributing to a greater plot)? How do you transition between adventurers? Am I right in thinking all of this or have I been lied to or miss understood something? All contributes welcome. Thanks!

Call of Cthulhu wiki?

I’ve very recently started to look the CoC 7th edition ruleset and I’m wondering if there’s a reference wiki. If anyone knows one that would be much appreciated! Thanks

I’m working on a dystopian world where everyone fled to the underdark. However i don’t want the classic magic, I want something more scientific without being modern. More of a science to magic but not a high academic science more like a clunky thing to learn but the few people who master it are extremely powerful. A more dark fantasy magic. And most importantly a world with magic in it rather than a magical world. But I need help with ideas and fleshing this out. All ideas and contributions are welcome. Thanks!

Hello fellow adventurers! One of my players recently mentioned wanting to play in a big dungeon crawl campaign and it got me thinking about a workd where everyone fled underground into a labyrinth type dungeon and some set up societies while some travel through it trying to find either a way out or a way to fix the surface’s problem (I’m not sure which). I was thinking of doing an eclipse and then he campaign is exploring the secrets of the eclipse (set thousands of years after everyone fled underground) and they find like the illithids (however you spell the mind flayer thingies) are behind it all or something. I’m trying to sway a bit away from straight magic and more towards the supernatural and then standard mercenaries. However this is my most ambitious project yet so I really need some ideas to help flesh it out. All ideas are welcome!
