Hello, i hope to get some tips from more Experienced Mini-Drivers:)

My Wife is making her Driving-Licence and we were looking for a good beginner Car. My Wife always liked Mini's and i also like the Idea of a Nimble Little Car teaching her Driving-Fundamentals. Also, Prices, Parts the Insurance seens very Cheap on these. I already read about to Look after the r50 Facelift with the Getrag Gearbox. Since I'm a VAG-Tech, repairing stuff shouldnt be a Problem.

Now, what should we look after if we get a 2004+ Mini? Thanks for every answer :)
